Why is Thomas Jones so low on the RB list?

Last 2 seasons have been over 1,000 yards and he should be the main man in the offense with KC. Jamal Charles didn't even play till the last 3 games or so and I just don't see why Jones would be the backup, It has him getting around 600 yards is that all he will get?
