How do I overcome loneliness deprived of friendship?

Hi, I decided to post this in the Christian (R&S) section, because I am one myself. I have no friends, and also, I feel woe. Why can't Jesus make life easier for us? Why is he so distant, and why am I without strength to be able to handle difficulties? I heard of people that are so overweight, that they fasted so they could lose their weight, because they were sick and tired of hurting. And I realize that I have to do something, to remedy my situation. It's so difficult, but I need an outsider's perspective regarding how to deal with being without friends... It is sort of like a man that's celibate all his life. Yeah, and how he doesn't burn with pion I'm clueless about. Is it just me, or does everyone have these hard times in life?
