Does this type of novel sound interesting?
I want to write a novel have a few different ideas I've been toying with. I'm looking for young adult age (12-18) One of my ideas would be called something along the lines of, "Free the leash kids." It would be about a girl Noel, who ends up going out with her dream crush. However things start to turn bad as he becomes more and more possessive, calling her all the time "just to check in." ect Her friends think its romantic/cute but she's starting to think that he's going a little over the top. But she is in love with him and thinks he's just trying to love her back(Things progressively get worse.) In the mean time she babysits a little boy named Sammy. His mom puts him on one of those "kid leashes." Noel hates it and wonders how the mom can not she how shes smothering Sammy because she loves him or "loves him" too much. Also through in some middle school, high school drama, some well written parts, and a lot of time. Eventually Noel will realize that the relationship between Sammy and his mom and her and her boyfriend are the same. At the end she breaks up with him and Sammy gets too old because, "you can only be bound until you are strong enough to break free." Just a very basic rough sketch but its a general idea. Sound halfway ok or too done. Also any writing tips would be appreciated too. PS: This is not how I normally write (abbreviations, short choppy sentences, its more of an internet sort of thing.)
