Hi friends...i have placed a water bamboo in my room..now d green leaves r becoming yellow..whats d reason?

i kept my plant in shadow...and i always use distilled water for ma plant...i have invested 1000 rupees for the plant..nw d leaves r loosing their colour...please give me suggestion....how can i retain the colour
