Chi flat iron not working right?

I've had my Chi for almost 2 years. Recently, the red light saying that it's hot hasn't been working. I've pressed the reset on and the light goes on. After a while, the light goes out again and it stops getting hot. I don't know if I just need a new Chi or I did something wrong?
