Contemplating stopping feeding at 20 months?

I'm struggling with the decision. On the one hand, she only nurses once a day now, does great on whole milk and due to the size/shape of my , her teeth are causing me a lot of pain when she first latches on and even leaving indents for a while after she finishes. On the other hand, it's a very special time between us and she loves it so much. I don't think it will be very traumatizing to take it away. Pacifiers took only a few days and she moved on. It's more an issue of me not wanting to get go of her babyhood, I guess. When did other mom's decide to do this? What was the final straw that made you decide it was time? My niece nursed until 2.5 (15 years younger) and my baby brother (16 years younger) until 3.5, so for my family, this is actually short...although that isn't a factor in the decision.
