Do you base your music of genres or just listen to all types of music from any genre?

There is all this stuff like "you say pop i say rock and you say lady gaga i say KoRn" (ect) thing going on and personally I love rock and metal and blues and jazz and even some R&B or hip hop/rap and a couple of pop songs here and there but think about rock at one time was considered pop so i just think its stupid for someone to just be so narrow minded about music and should listen to anything bot just based of genre.
